Our dedicated Nursing and Care teams are able to provide high standards of care and support for our clients as they enter into the final stages of life (terminal illness) requiring palliative care.
We will work with GP’s and health care professions (Macmillan nurses and other specialist teams) to provide medical / nursing support and guidance to ensure the full needs of the individual and their families are met during this period.
Staff are trained in the six steps and advanced palliative care. We use the Northwest model and follow all end of life strategies to ensure all needs are met at the end of life. Care is delivered with compassion, consideration and utmost dignity and privacy. We respect our clients wishes for choices at end of li fe for a pain free transition with all specialist input required.
Palliative care requires a careful, thorough monitoring of changing needs which will be achieved through effective care planning and an advance care plan, for the care of the dying within ourcare home.
Families will be encouraged to remain with their loved ones for as long as they wish during their support of a dying member of their family. We provide facilities for overnight stay with your loved ones at the end of your life if you so wish.
